Transmission

This upgraded transmission is engineered to significantly increase the durability and performance of your drivetrain. It features a BD aluminum heavy-duty deep transmission pan that increases oil capacity by 6 quarts, improving cooling and fluid stability under demanding conditions.

Key internal upgrades include a re-calibrated accumulator body for quicker, firmer shifts and a full shift kit with a line mod valve to increase operating pressures. Converter charge pressure is increased for improved efficiency and durability. Additional lube circuits are added to the overdrive planetary, along with enhanced lubrication and support for the output and intermediate shafts.

The transmission case is drilled and tapped at the direct and intermediate feeds to prevent internal leaks, while an upgraded overdrive snap ring and machined center support improve strength and reliability. A reworked front pump and a fully rollerized geartrain further reduce friction and improve longevity.

Clutch capacity is optimized with the following configurations: Coast Clutch – 2, Forward – 5, Low Reverse – 7, Intermediate – 4, and Overdrive – 4. Every transmission is dyno tested to ensure proper operation and performance.

Torque Converter

The torque converter features an enhanced stall speed optimized for street and towing applications. Torque-multiplying cast aluminum stators deliver improved low-RPM response compared to the stock converter, resulting in more efficient operation, reduced heat, and better fuel economy.

A stamp-forged steel front cover increases strength and durability, while furnace-brazed fins improve fluid coupling efficiency. The converter includes up to three times the amount of lock-up clutch material compared to stock for increased holding power and long-term reliability.

Warranty

This transmission and torque converter package is backed by a 36-month or 150,000-mile parts warranty, along with 12 months or 24,000 miles of labor coverage.
