S&S Diesel Motorsport®, the world leader in common-rail diesel injection, has developed an innovative solution to tackle the CP4.2 high-pressure pump failures that have become a significant issue for the LML Duramax engine. Our approach is simple yet effective: replace the problematic CP4.2 with a reliable, robust CP3 high-pressure fuel pump before any issues arise.
Known as the Achilles heel of the LML Duramax engine, the CP4 high-pressure pumps suffer from high failure rates that can lead to catastrophic damage, often affecting the entire high-pressure system, including injectors, rails, and lines. To address this, S&S Diesel Motorsport proudly offers the first CARB-compliant (EO #D-756-4) 50 State CP3 conversion available for the LML. Additionally, S&S provides two other versions of the LML CP3 conversion kits tailored for competition applications that do not require after-treatment. These options include one version requiring tuning for $1,780.00 MAP and a drop-in version that does not require tuning for $2,175.00 MAP.
